歷史 / History
我們是曉士頓中國教會一群喜歡唱詩讚美神的弟兄姐妹。我們迦勒詩班歷史悠久，始於 1989。多年來，我們一直致力於通過崇拜事工來敬拜神，彰顯祂的榮耀。
1989 年中國教會負責會友関懷及長輩事工的黃繼榮牧師邀請學聲樂的陸國儀姊妹成立長輩詩班. 最初二年就由陸國儀姊妹擔任指揮。
隨著詩班成員的逐日增長及新同工的加入，1991 年詩班指揮之職由潘正東弟兄接任. 1997 年潘弟兄因嚴重糖尿病一腿被切除，雖不良於行但仍坐在輪椅上指揮. 詩班成員因他認真負責的服事都很得激勵。
1998 年有鑑於潘弟兄的身體狀況，詩班司琴的李雅雅姊妹就逐漸接手擔任詩班指揮，直到 2009 年李雅雅姊妹遷居Dallas。
2009 年面臨找不到繼任指揮，詩班將解散的危機時，詩班的第一任指揮陸國儀姊妹剛好從香港返回 Houston. 教會崇拜部的林崇哲牧師立即邀請陸姊妹歸隊事奉. 不僅詩班解散的危機解除並改名為迦勒詩班. 效法迦勒 85歲當年一樣的心志，繼續用歌聲讚美服事神。
陸國儀姊妹不僅帶領大家唱歌並和大家分享神的話語及見證. 在陸姊妹 14年的詩班服事中，雖經歷許多個人生活上的難處，但她從未間斷服事更因她的見證使多人得幫助。
2023 年五月，陸國儀姊妹搬遷到加州 San Jose。
陸姊妹搬離Houston 後就由教會的賴永敬傳道和周景仰指揮接掌迦勒詩班。
We are a group of brothers and sisters in Houston Chinese Church who love to sing and praise God. Our Caleb Choir has a long history, which began in 1989. Over the years, we have been committed to worshiping God and manifesting His glory through music ministry. In 1989, Pastor Calvin Wong 黃繼榮 , who was in charge of the church members' care and elder ministry in the Chinese church, invited sister Betty Hu 陸國儀 , who studied vocal music, to set up an elder choir . In the first two years, sister Betty Hu 陸國儀 was the conductor. As the number of choir members increased day by day and new co-workers joined, Brother Dong Phan 潘正東 took over the choir conductor position in 1991. In 1997, Brother Dong Phan 潘正東 had one leg amputated due to severe diabetes. Although he was unable to walk, he still conducted the choir in a wheelchair. The choir members were very encouraged by his serious and responsible service. In 1998, due to the health condition of Brother Dong Phan 潘正東 , Sister Grace Wu 李雅雅, the organist of the choir, gradually took over the choir's direction until Sister Grace Wu 李雅雅 moved to Dallas in 2009. In 2009, when the choir was facing the crisis of disbanding due to the lack of successor conductor, the first conductor of the choir, Sister Betty Hu 陸國儀 , happened to return to Houston from Hong Kong. Pastor Jonathan Ling 林崇哲 of the church's worship department immediately invited Sister Betty Hu 陸國儀 to return to serve. Not only was the crisis of disbanding of the choir resolved, but the choir was also renamed the Caleb Choir. Following Caleb's determination at the age of 85, they continued to praise and serve God with their songs. Sister Betty Hu 陸國儀 not only led everyone to sing but also shared God's words and testimonies with everyone. During her 14 years of serving in the choir, although she experienced many difficulties in her personal life, she never stopped serving and helped many people because of her testimony. In May 2023, Sister Betty Hu 陸國儀 moved to San Jose, California.
After Sister Betty Hu 陸國儀 moved out of Houston, Pastor Tim Lai 賴永敬 and brother Charles Chou 周景仰 took over the Caleb Choir.

As a church choir, our primary focus is to spread the message of love, hope, and faith through the power of music. We are the HCC Caleb Choir, also known as 迦勒詩班, and we are located in the vibrant city of Houston, Texas. Our choir is not just a group of singers, but a family united by our passion for music and our devotion to God.
異象 / Visions
我們的異象是透過崇拜事工，將福音的信息傳達給更多的人。我們渴望看到更多人因著我們的詩班事工而認識耶穌基督，並在祂裡面得著豐盛的生命。
At HCC Caleb Choir, we believe that music is a powerful tool for spreading love, joy, and unity within our church community. As a branch of the Worship Ministry at Houston Chinese Church, our mission is to use our musical talents to glorify God and inspire others through worship. One of the key aspects of our approach is inclusivity. We welcome members of all ages and backgrounds to join our choir, regardless of their level of musical experience.
